Task Forces & Committees

PTRA is a dynamic association, providing its members with tools and contacts to ensure each member’s business success. The foundation of PTRA’s strength and energy lies in the association’s membership. PTRA members actively participate in every aspect of the group’s functions, which explains why PTRA excels at meeting the needs of its membership. If you are a PTRA Rep or Manufacturer member, we encourage you to volunteer! The demands on your time are minimal, but the rewards are great, both personally and professionally for you and for your fellow members.

Education Task Force

Chair
Bill Taylor, III
[email protected] // (813) 240-4580

The purpose of the Education Task Force is providing members with current information on educational opportunities available to the power motion technology industry to continue to advance the profession. We also provide opportunities for further education by partnering with other organizations that help to enhance the representative and manufacturer relationship. The Education Task Force also assists in the planning of the Annual Conference to ensure that the most relevant speakers and topics and being brought to our attendees.

Membership Task Force

Co-Chairs

The most valuable, intangible benefit of participating in PTRA is networking with peers and business partners from across the country. The Membership Committee focuses on identifying, recruiting, and mentoring new members, as well as retaining current members, thereby expanding the world of possibilities for all members.  In addition, the Membership Committee tracks historical membership data and develops targeted action plans to retain existing members and encourage new members to join and take full advantage of the PTRA organization. The Membership Committee may from time to time assess and recommend products, services, and programs that will add value to the membership.

Representative / Principal Relations Task Force

Chair

Purpose: The Rep/Principal Relations Committee works on behalf of all PTRA members seeking already existing and developing new means, programs, and methodologies for enhancing the valuable rep/principal relationship!

Communications Task Force

Co-Chairs

The primary focus of the Communications Task Force is to manage the branding, marketing and communications efforts and strategies of the organization, and resources needed to support those efforts. This includes but is not limited to creating positioning and local branding strategies, expanding the community’s awareness and knowledge of the power motion profession, ensuring that the association has a strong presence in the necessary outlets (online, print, in person, etc.) and much more. In addition, the Communications Task Force will manage the messaging for the entire association whether it’s recruiting new members, offering a new education opportunity, or any other communication as an effort to ensure the branding is streamlined.
