| PTRA has served
independent manufacturers' representatives and their manufacturer principals in the power
transmission and motion control industries since 1972. Our mission is simple. We support the work of
manufacturers' reps. As part of our job, we spread the word that working with an
independent rep is the smartest sales move a manufacturer can make.
PTRA provides services, conferences,
and educational opportunities for our members. We support the Manufacturers Representatives Educational Research Foundation
(MRERF) and its Institute for Professional Advancement (IPA)
CPMR accreditation program. We are an active participant in the Alliance of Manufacturers'
Representatives Associations (AMRA). In addition, our Code of Ethics assures manufacturers
they can expect the highest degree of professional integrity from our active members.
We're also here to bring reps and
manufacturers together. Find a Member helps
manufacturers identify reps who have established relationships with their most likely
customers. Lines Available help reps identify new
opportunities. Both principals and reps have a chance to meet and network at our annual
